Since its inception in 1973 in a small factory located just outside of London, England in a village called Penn, Penn Elcom has become a market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of flight case and speaker cabinet hardware, 19" rack-mount, lighting, trussing and staging equipment. The company's hard won reputation has been created due to its "customer first" philosophy and built around a range of high quality products and reliable service.

Originally founded as Penn Fabrication by current Chairman Roger Willems, the journey to the company's current identity as Penn Elcom has seen many changes along the way including a major relocation in 1984 to the company's current headquarters located outside of Newcastle in the far North of England and a merger with California, USA based company Elcom Inc. in 2004.

The early 80's saw the establishment of the first sales office and distribution centres located outside of the UK, firstly in Melbourne, Australia in 1985 and quickly followed by California, USA and Tokyo, Japan in 1986. The company now boasts four sales offices across North America, three in South America, seven throughout Europe and offices in the Middle East, China, Hong Kong and a distribution network that spans the globe.

One of the major advantages of buying Penn Elcom product is knowing that most processes from R&D, design and manufacture through to the products plating or powder coating are carried out within Penn Elcom's own in-house facilities allowing total control of the production process. At the present time Penn Elcom operates three manufacturing facilities in the UK, three facilities in China, one in Canada and a plywood lamination line in the USA.

With a current inventory of over three thousand catalogue products and many, many more OEM products being manufactured and supplied through it's network of sales and distribution centres on 4 continents, Penn Elcom and it's employees worldwide are striving to become both our customers first choice and their last choice.
